# Sentence starter preferences

Some teachers forbid certain sentence starters (e.g., "There are…", "It is…"). Let teachers configure which starters Yawp should flag.

## Problem

Style preferences vary by teacher. Yawp's GA today applies a fixed style — but teachers want different things, and the right answer is to let them configure it.

## Goals (rough)

- Per-teacher (or per-AssignmentType) list of sentence starters to flag.
- The GA highlights flagged starters and recommends alternatives.

## Open questions

- [ ] Defaults — does Yawp ship with any forbidden starters out of the box, or is it always opt-in?
- [ ] Granularity — per-teacher, per-class, per-AssignmentType?
- [ ] Other style rules in the same family (passive voice, weak verbs) — do they share UI?
