# Print student papers

Teachers can print student papers — full doc, with formatting — for the old-school markup workflow.

## Problem

Reported 2026-01-15: a teacher who wants to mark up a paper in pen on a printout has no clean path. Some teachers find analog markup faster or higher-bandwidth than digital for certain feedback. Today they'd need to copy-paste into a separate doc and print from there.

## Goals (rough)

- A print button (or contributing to PDF download in [features/download-pdf.md](download-pdf.md)) that produces a printable version of the paper.
- Sensible margins and double-spacing for handwritten markup.

## Non-goals

- Reflecting digital comments / GA highlights in the print. The point is starting clean.

## Open questions

- [ ] One feature with [features/download-pdf.md](download-pdf.md), or two? Likely one — both are "give me a paper version of this document."
